2012 Season Preview

With the 2012 MARRS SCCA season about ready to get under way in the next few months things will be busy. RP Performance is getting excited for what might be the biggest and busiest year so far. Coming off 3 championships in 2011 we had a great year but are looking for a better year in 2012. We some new drivers this year as well as all of the great drivers we had from last year things could not get any better. We traded in last year’s championship car for a 1999 Spec Miata look for photos to follow soon. Brian Price will be back in SM this year in the 99 Miata and was hoping to get the ARRC winning ITA car back out for a good part of the season also. In SSM Scott Brunk will be back defending is Championship again in 2012. After rolling his car last year Dave Wible has a built a brand new car and will be coming strong also. Let’s see if we can get a 1, 2, finish with Scott and Dave. In ITS Al Gervais has been working hard on the car in the off season with lots of inprovements for 2012.The 3 day drivers school is coming up the 23^rd , 24^th and 25^th of March. We still have room for track support and rentals if you are looking at attending the school. More news and updates to follow soon so keep posted and follow us on Facebook.

Three more championships?

The SCCA Marrs series will be coming to an end for 2011 on October 8^th and 9^th. Come and watch as we have 3 drivers with a good chance of winning the championship in three different classes. Once again RP Performance looks to add more titles to the ever ending list. If you are a racer and want to learn how to win contact us. RP Performance at NJMP

Well we are back from the SCCA Marrs race at NJMP this past weekend. Once again RP Performance came away with some great results and some great racing. I can’t thank everyone enough for the results that we came away with in the 6th round of racing in the Marrs series. With 4 races on the schedule for the weekend Scott Brunk and Brian Price ended up with 4 wins and 3 poles in both SSM and SM. I also want to thank TJ for the great crew work and staying on top and the cars to help get the wins. We will post the points as soon as we get them updated

Mothers Day at VIR

Wow what a weekend we had at VIR for the Sarrc/Marrs challenge. RP Performance drivers put on a great show and had some great results for the tow race event. The complete results are listed here at http://www.ncrscca.com/club-racing-results. We came away with 6 wins and 4 poles out of the 4 classes that we had cars competing in. Brian Price in SM had 1 pole and 1 win and a 2^nd place in a very tough group of almost 50 cars. He had a great drive on Sunday after being on the pole and running off track on the first lap. He fell back to about 16^th place but was able to get back up to 2^nd place. Scott Brunk had 1 pole and 2 wins in SSM in a group of 25 cars. Other notables in SSM are John Gerbracht with a 4^th and 5^th place finish. Dave Wible with a 5^th and 6^th place finish. Glenn Davis and AJ Gillum with 8^th and 10^th places finishes. In ITS Al Gervais had 1 pole and 2 wins, in SRX7 Dave Ade with a pole and a 1^st place. In ITA Owen Schefer had 2 2^nd places results. RP Performance would like that thank all of their drivers for a great weekend. Next up is the WDCR National at Summit Point on the 21^st and 22^nd of May. Come on out and cheer us on.

99 Style FP regulators are ready to ship

We now have the 99 and up regulators in stock and ready to ship today. All of the back ordered parts are now in and we will be dyno testing today and post the results once we have them. These kits are very well designed and use the same quick disconnect fittings like the factory Mazda hoes ends. We also have included a fuel test port in line for ease of testing or removing fuel. These kits will sell for $399 plus shipping.

update on Fuel pressure regulators

We now have 3 different Fuel Pressure regulator kits for the Spec Miata and ITA cars that are now ready to ship. One will be a lower cost kit using rubber fuel injection hose and barb fittings. The others will be fully assembled using braided line and AN style fittings. The 99 and up kits will come with AN style lines and a factory style connection. The AN braided kits come with a fuel test port and you can chose from black anodized or red and blue fittings and regulators. All kits come with a pressure gauge also and complete instructions. We hope to have photos for the 99 and up kit in a few days so keep posted and check on our web site www.rpperformanceracing.com. These kits will be much nicer then others on the market and are legal. You cannot remove the stock regulator as per the rules. Please contact us for pricing and more info.

RP Performance crew help wanted

As we grow in size we are in need of crew help for the drivers school and on race weekends this summer. No experience is necessary and we will train you. We will cover your entry into the track and if you like it we will pay for a SCCA membership also. We supply meals and drinks and happy hour at the end of the day.
